Brief description of the project |
The oil industry, which is the largest industry in Iran, given the importance of the environment and sustainable development and the need to establish a waste management system as one of the effective factors in environmental protection, following the valuable efforts and measures taken in the oil industry, in this project, has been conducted a comprehensive study on waste management. The project was carried out in several phases and its stages included: step 1- Identify and document the current situation (waste management) in the upstream oil industry Step 2 – Design a waste management system, Step 3-Design support programs for the establishment of the waste management system, Step 4- Designing waste management monitoring system. Step 5 – Design an integrated model of waste management, Step 6- Implementation of the plan in three areas, Step 7- Measuring the effectiveness of the implemented plan. In this project, a waste emission inventory was prepared and proper waste management planning was presented and finally, it was piloted in three areas and the results were evaluated. |
